The Albanian Energy Regulatory Authority ERE published a Rulebook on transparency according to which the power exchange will operate. This regulation will apply to producers of solar and wind energy.
The power exchange is an important part of the Law on the Power Sector. In accordance with the legal deadline, the power exchange should become operational from 1 January 2018.
For the operation of power exchange it is necessary to have rules that will guarantee transparency, which will allow the recently adopted Rulebook by ERE. This regulation clearly defines which information must be published by the transmission system operator, director of power exchange or other market players, as well as deadlines for submitting reports.
The Rulebook also applies to producers of wind and solar energy, which will be a part of the power exchange and will have to submit reports at the time when their production reaches 5% of the total domestic production.
