“Kurum International”, sh.a, will be the company that will receive all the shares of “HPPs, Bistrica 1 and Bistrica 2″. At today’s meeting of the Cabinet, the Council of Ministers decided to approve the final report of bid evaluation and the winning candidate for the privatization of “HPPs, Bistrica 1 and Bistrica 2″, sh.a, or approval of the offer of “Kurum International”, sh.a, as the winner for the 100% purchase of shares of “HPPs Bistrica 1 and Bistrica 2″, sha.a, worth 52 000 000 (fifty-two million) euros.
“Pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution, Article 7 of the Law No. 8306, dated 14.3.1998, “On the privatization strategy of particular importance “, as amended, and Articles 3, 5 and 8, law nr.10430, dated 9.6.2011, “On the establishment of companies “HPP, Ulez – Shkopet”, sh.a, “HPP, Tirana Lanabregas”, sh.a and “HPP, Bistrica 1 and Bistrica 2″, sh.a, and determining the shape and structure of corporate privatization formula of “HPP, Ulez – Shkopet” sh.a and “HPP, Bistrica 1 and Bistrica 2 “, sh.a” after the proposal of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy, the Council of Ministers
DECIDED:
1. Approval of the final report of bid evaluation, submitted by the Tender Evaluation Committee for the privatization of “HPP, Bistrica 1 and Bistrica 2″, sh.a, which is attached to this decision.
2. Bid approval of “Kurum International”, sh.a, as the winner for the 100% purchase of the shares of the company “HPP Bistrica 1 and Bistrica 2″, sh.a, worth 52 000 000 (fifty-two million) euros.
3. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy to negotiate and sign the contract with the winning candidate, “Kurum International”, sh.a.
4. The Ministry of Finance, through the General Taxation Directorate, to identify the value of VAT refundable to “Kurum International”, sh.a, before signing the contract.
5. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy should implement the decision.
This decision shall enter into force immediately and published in the “Official Bulletin”, says the statement of the cabinet.
On December 21, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy held a tender for the privatization of HPPs Bistrica 1, Bistrica 2 sh.a, Ulez-Shkopet, sh.a. The Tender Evaluation Committee in the presence of media opened the envelopes containing technical and financial documents for the sale of four plants.
