All required procedures directed by “Elektroprijenos BiH” and independent system operator that hindered the beginning of Wind Park in Podvelezje megaproject’s realization are finally done. Financial construction is also completed, so there is nothing that stops “Elektroprivreda BiH” from announcing a tender for work contractors and to begin the project’s realization- Minister of Economy in Hercegovacko-Neretvanska Zupanija, Amer Zagorcic, confirmed.
This is the biggest project in Mostar’s history which value is 65MEUR. Although, this project may be said to be just a one in the row of failed projects, it won’t be so supposedly.
According to his words, there is a new annex contract between PC “Elektroprivreda of BiH” and the Ministry of Economy and Resources now. This contract was made by Government on the last session where phase 1 is being connected to the phase 2 so “Elektropriveda” is obligated to finish the whole project by 31 December 2014.
-Now when all procedures with “Elektroprijenos BiH” and NOS that hindered the beginning of work are done and now when financial construction with German “KVS” is finished, we can expect the work beginning in the second half of a year when tender procedures are done. The tender announcement is expected until summer- Zagorcic claims.
Construction of Wind Park “Podvelezje” with 16 wind aggregates of 32-34 MW total strength and possible annual electricity production of 75 to 100 GWH is planned on Podvelezje area, at Mali Grad and Sveta Gora micro locations.
PC “Elektroprivreda BiH” got concession on 30 years with possibility of prolonging and the contract components are term plan of project realization and study of economical justification. The exact date of launching the work is not known yet but all required conditions are acquired.
