The Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton announced that Suzlon Wind Energy BH, a project company for the construction of 25 MW wind farm Ivan Sedlo, will launch the construction of the facility on 26 September.
The statement from the Ministry said that the launch of this, 30 million euros worth project, has been delayed due to changes in the project and other administrative procedures.
The start of the construction was initially planned for 2019. However, in early 2021, the Cantonal Government signed an annex to the agreement with Suzlon Wind Energy BH, which envisaged the reduction of wind turbines from twelve to five, keeping the original installed capacity of 25 MW.
In July, The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) has approved the issuance of energy permit to Suzlon Wind Energy BiH for the construction of Ivan Sedlo wind farm in Hadzici municipality. Ivan Sedlo wind farm will consist of five wind turbines, each with power output of 5 MW. Their combined annual electricity generation is estimated to 15.65 GWh.
