Bosnia and Herzegovina: Elektroprijenos investments to be unblocked, SEE Energy News
Elektroprijenos is the company that manages electricity transmission system on the state level, thus enabling the continuation of investments in the country’s electricity transmission system. The Prime Ministers of two BiH entities – the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) and the Republic of Srpska (RS), Fadil Novalic and Radovan Viskovic agreed to unblock regular operation of this company.
The two PMs concluded that the operation of Elektroprijenos BiH is of crucial importance for the maintenance of the electricity network in BiH, especially having in mind the necessary investments planned in this sector, which have not been realized for more than two years.
Elektroprijenos BiH did not invest any funds in the electricity transmission network in over two years since its operation is in blockade, over several political issues between two entities, namely the appointment of the company’s management and the ratio of contributions to the company’s investment efforts.
