Bosnia and Herzegovina, EP HZHB is introducing green models in its electricity supply offers, SEE Energy News
Bosnian power utility EP HZHB is introducing green models in its electricity supply offers and guarantees the supply of 100 % renewable energy from 1 January 2023. Green models will not be available for consumers in the households category.
Buyers who decide to use green models, for every kWh of electricity consumed, will receive a guarantee that the electricity delivered to them is entirely produced from renewable energy sources. EP HZHB is the only utility in Bosnia and Herzegovina that produces electricity exclusively from renewable sources. However, at certain times (mainly in the summer months) electricity must be purchased on the market, and therefore there was no legal possibility for the supplier to guarantee that all the supplied energy is from renewable sources.
Because of its focus on renewable energy sources and sustainable development in all segments of its business, EP HZHB decided to be the first utility in Bosnia and Herzegovina to offer contracting of green models to its customers. Customers who decide to contract green models at the price of about 0.026 euros/kWh will receive a guarantee that the electricity supplied to them is entirely from renewable sources.
