State-owned electricity utility EPBiH has launched a new investment cycle in renewable energy infrastructure by opening a tender for the installation of rooftop solar systems on its own facilities across Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first phase of the project is valued at approximately €750,000 (excluding VAT).
The tender covers the deployment of photovoltaic systems on a range of company-owned buildings located throughout the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Interested bidders have until 15 May to submit their offers, after which the selection process will proceed.
Planned installations vary in size depending on the site, with system capacities ranging from 25 kW to 240 kW. The contractor will be selected based on the lowest offered price, and the procedure will also include an electronic auction stage. The project is structured as a single consolidated package, rather than being divided into separate lots.
According to the tender documentation, solar systems will be installed at several operational units, including facilities in Bihać, Jablanica, Mostar, Zenica, Sarajevo, Tuzla, Travnik, and Kakanj. These installations are intended to support EPBiH’s broader strategy of improving energy efficiency and expanding its own renewable generation capacity.
The project forms part of a wider effort by the utility to modernize its infrastructure and strengthen internal power production from clean energy sources, contributing to the gradual decarbonization of its operations.
