Director of Bosnian state-owned power utility ERS Luka Petrovic said that the company has one of the best positions in the region with renewable energy projects worth more than 400 million euros in the pipeline.
Petrovic reminded that ERS has five contracted RES projects – for hydropower plants Dabar, Buk Bijela and Bistrica, wind farm Hrgud and solar power plant Trebinje 1, with combined installed capacity of 430 MW or 30 % of currently available capacity in the Republic of Srpska (RS).
These five projects will generate additional 1,100 GWh of electricity per year, which, at current market prices, is worth around 250 million euros, significantly boosting ERS’ revenues.
He added that all companies within ERS recorded positive financial results in 2021, so net profit on the parent company level amounted to some 41 million euros.
