Authorities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) have opened the next stage of environmental review procedures for the planned Gradina wind farm, a renewable energy project designed to deliver up to 100 MW of installed capacity near Tomislavgrad.
The Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism announced that a public hearing related to the preliminary environmental impact assessment will take place on 1 June 2026 in Tomislavgrad. The process marks an important step in advancing the project’s formal permitting procedure.
The proposed wind farm is planned on the Midena mountain plateau, south of the Tomislavgrad–Livno M6.1 road, at elevations between approximately 1,010 and 1,070 meters above sea level. The location has been identified as a key wind resource zone in the region.
Project documentation includes the installation of 17 wind turbines along with supporting infrastructure such as access roads, operational platforms, a 35 kV internal medium-voltage network, telecommunications systems, a 220/33 kV transformer station, and a high-voltage transmission connection line.
The investment is being developed by VE Gradina from Tomislavgrad, which holds the concession rights for wind resource utilization within the designated area and serves as the official project developer responsible for implementation.
Preparatory environmental assessment activities began earlier, with preliminary documentation made available for public review in October 2025, marking the start of the project’s structured environmental approval process.
