Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gross electricity production in the FBiH in August amounted to 571 GWh, SEE Energy News
Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in August 2022 amounted to 571 GWh, which is by 5.8 % lower compared to August last year, when it amounted to 606 GWh.
Net electricity production amounted to 527 GWh, of which 122 GWh (23.2 %) was produced in hydropower plants, 375 GWh (71.2 %) was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 30 GWh. In August, electricity imports amounted to 79 GWh, compared to 227 GWh in the same month last year, while electricity exports amounted to 90 GWh, compared to 215 GWh last August.
In the same month, production of brown coal amounted to 451,985 tons, which is 30.8 % more compared to 2021 when the production stood at 345,487 tons. Lignite production in August 2022 amounted to 120,043 tons, while in August 2021 it amounted to 95,855 tons, a 25.2 % increase.
Coke production in August 2022 totaled 64,883 tons, which is 13.5 % less than 75.016 tons produced in August 2021.
