The subsidiary of the power utility ERS, “Hidroelektrane na Drini”, which operates the Višegrad hydropower plant, reported that the facility generated 94.72 GWh of electricity in March 2026, representing a 34.2% decline compared to the previous month, when output reached 143.98 GWh. In March of the previous year, the plant produced 120.21 GWh.
The Višegrad hydropower plant generated a total of 781.8 GWh in 2025, compared to 733 GWh in 2024, indicating a moderate year-on-year increase in overall production. Since the beginning of 2026, cumulative electricity generation has reached 400.4 GWh, reflecting seasonal variability in hydrological conditions.
Commissioned in 1989, HPP Višegrad has an installed capacity of 315 MW (3 × 105 MW units) and an average annual production of approximately 1,010 GWh. Its record output was achieved in 2010, when the plant generated 1,283.05 GWh, marking the highest annual production in its operational history.
