A subsidiary of power utility ERS, Hidroelektrane na Drini, which operates the Višegrad hydropower plant, announced that the plant generated 143.98 GWh of electricity in February 2026, marking an 11% decrease compared to January production of 161.69 GWh. By comparison, February 2025 output was 63.97 GWh.
In total, HPP Višegrad produced 781.8 GWh of electricity in 2025, up from 733 GWh in 2024, and production so far in 2026 amounts to 306.68 GWh.
Commissioned in 1989, HPP Visegrad has a power output of 315 MW (3 x 105 MW) and an average annual generation of 1,010 GWh. The plant achieved its record annual production in 2010 with 1,283.05 GWh.
