A subsidiary of the power utility ERS, Hidroelektrane na Drini, which operates the Višegrad hydropower plant, announced that the facility generated 161.69 GWh of electricity in January 2026. This represents a 155% increase compared to the previous month, when electricity production totaled 88.34 GWh. In January 2025, the plant produced 89.2 GWh of electricity.
For the full year 2025, HPP Višegrad produced a total of 781.8 GWh, up from 733 GWh in 2024, reflecting a steady growth in annual output.
Commissioned in 1989, HPP Višegrad has a total installed capacity of 315 MW (3 x 105 MW) and an average annual generation of approximately 1,010 GWh. The record annual production was achieved in 2010, when the plant generated 1,283.05 GWh of electricity.
