In 2020 Bosnian “Hidroelektrane na Vrbasu” (HEV), a subsidiary of power utility ERS that operates two hydropower plants Bocac 1 and Bocac 2, recorded a net loss of around 650,000 euros, compared to a net profit of over 2 million euros in the previous year. The company’s operating revenues decreased to 7.5 million euros in 2020 from 11 million euros in 2019. Its operating expenses also fell to 7.9 million euros from 9 million euros in the previous year. Construction of HPP Bocac 2 started in September 2015 and it was commissioned in late 2018. It has installed capacity of 8.76 MW and expected annual generation of 46 GWh of electricity. It is built within HPP Bocac 1 complex, which has 110 MW power output, annual production of 307.5 GWh of electricity and was commissioned in 1981.
