Bosnia and Herzegovina: RMU Banovici gets new equipment put into operation, SEE Energy News
In the first half of 2020, RMU Banovici recorded a net profit in the amount of some 600,000 euros, compared to a net loss of 2 million euros a year earlier.
The crushing plant with a complete transport system was put into operation at coalmine RMU Banovici. The ceremony was attended by the Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry, Nermin Dzindic, who said that the system of RMU Banovici will enable the continuation of successful and good production.
Minister Dzindic said that the coalmine is expected to achieve 94 % of planned production for 2020, namely some 1.6 million tons of coal. The management of RMU Banovici said earlier that the installation of new equipment will increase the mine’s output by between 500,000 and 600,000 tons of coal per year. The average annual coal production of the mine is around 1.5 million tons.
