Bosnia’s net electricity output decreased 0.8% on the year to 4,192 GWh in the first quarter of 2015, the country’s statistics office stated on its website.
Bosnia hydro power plants produced a net 2,247 GWh in the first quarter, up 33% from a year earlier. The net production of the thermal power plants fell 23% to 1,944 GWh in the review period.
Bosnia’s gross electricity production fell 1.8% on the year to 4,411 GWh in the first three months of 2015. Electricity imports fell 7.5% to 711 GWh through March while exports dropped 12% to 1,661 GWh.
Bosnia’s gross electricity output fell 7.6% to 15,680 GWh in 2014 when the country grappled with the fallout from heavy floods.
