A subsidiary of power utility ERS ―Hidroelektrane na Drini‖, the company which operates hydropower plant Visegrad, announced that the plant has produced 64.95 GWh of electricity in December, which is by 49.7 % less than in the previous month (129.1 GWh).
HPP Visegrad produced 1,078.12 GWh of electricity in 2016. Highest monthly electricity production was recorded in March with 177.4 GWh. 59.17 GWh of electricity produced in December was consumed locally.
HPP Visegrad was commissioned in 1989 and it has power output of 315 MW (3 x 105 MW) and average annual generation of 1,010 GWh of electricity. Total electricity production of the plant stood at 23,883.26 GWh at the end of 2015. Record annual production was achieved in 2010 with 1,283.05 GWh.
