The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has ordered today to the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, in accordance with the Law on Public Procurement to annul the procurement process for the selection of an expert consultant in the process of awarding the concession contract for the oil and gas exploration and exploitation.
The government has ordered the cancellation of tender due to the fact that it is not be provided real competition for the contract, because the number of received offers is less than three.
The government has ordered the Tender Committee, which created it itself, to revise and amend the tender documents in order to remove interference to ensure greater competitiveness, and to submit them to the Federal Government for the next session for approval, said the Minister.
Tender for a consultant selection which will conduct negotiations with the “Shell” in the process for awarding the concession for the oil and gas exploration and exploitation in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was announced on April 28th this year, and was open until June 9th.
As Indikator.ba previously reported, the total value of the consulting contract is estimated at 410.000 EUR.
The oil company “Shell” expressed interesting to FBiH Government for obtaining a concession for oil exploration even in September 2011th, after that it was signed a memorandum on cooperation.
