Price of Russian gas which Gazprom supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina has been lowered by 10 percent since January 1st 2015th, and now stands at 340 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters. The highest price of Russian gas was recorded two and a half years ago, when it stood at 540 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters. This means that gas is cheaper for about 200 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters, or about 35 percent.
However, the gas price in the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina has not changed, and it is about 270 EUR per 1,000 cubic meters, which means that it is higher for 100 EUR compared to the purchase price. It is expected that decrease trend in the price of Russian gas will continue, and that it is expected to decrease by ten percent in the next quarter.
Despite decrease in gas price, company BH Gas has not reduced the cost of this energy resource for end consumers.
