Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia in the first eight months of 2014th was about 7.8% less than in the same period in 2013th, as a result of worse weather conditions than last year.
In the first eight months of this year in the Federation was produced 6,613 GWh of electricity, compared to 7,171 GWh in the same period in 2013th.
The power plants failed compared to last year in which production is reduced by one third and was 2,149 GWh for the eight months of this year compared to 3,246 GWh in the same period of 2013th.
On the other hand, production in thermal power plants increased for about 13.7% and amounted to 4,464 GWh compared with 3,925 in the same period last year.
Accordingly, the electricity export was reduced for about 30%.
The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina exported 1,709 GWh of electricity for the eight months of this year unlike 2,446 in the same period of the previous year.
At the same time, electricity import has been also reduced for more than double, from 860 GWh in the first eight months of 2014thfell to 406 GWh in the same period this year.
