” Electric Power industry of BIH ” announced the international invitation for pre-qualification of companies and consortia for the construction of HPP “Vranduk.” Public invitation relates to the preparation of project documentation (basic and detailed design), production, delivery and installation of equipment, construction works, testing and commissioning of the plant in operation, announced the “Electric Power Industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
Prequalification documents may be submitted no later than 17th April of 2014, after which the EP BiH will evaluate the applications and applicants who are prequalified will receive a request for submission of bids in May this year.
Project for HPP “Vranduk” is financed both from its own funds and international financial institutions – the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank.
Loan agreement with the EBRD has already been signed and is operational, and the approval process of the project’s financing by the EIB is in the progress.
The total value of HPP “Vranduk” is 65 million euros.
Research work for the construction project HPP “Vranduk” is in progress. Field investigations are accompanied by appropriate laboratory testing of soil and rock. During the research the drilling of about 40 exploratory boreholes will be carried out on the barrier profile, the entrance building, machinists site and along the future reservoir HPP”Vranduk.”
The aim of the study is to prepare a comprehensive geological and geotechnical, geophysical and seismological background in order to the engineer of the main design project HPP “Vranduk” could as soon as possible after entering the work create the conditions for the start of construction.
Completion of the first phase of the expropriation of property on site construction of HPP “Vranduk” in the Municipality of Zenica. “ Electric Power Industry of BIH ” took over four properties in the local area Vranduk, among which are housing, construction land under buildings, agricultural and forest land while the six property owners expropriated in the first stage, agreed and realized entering in the property. The second phase of the expropriation was launched , the company announced.
As further alleged, HPP “Vranduk” is important from the aspect of environmental protection and stability of the system, increasing the production and reliability of supply to customers.
Construction of hydroelectric power opens up the possibility of employment of local labor, particularly construction operations, while the period of the exploitation of the object makes possibilities for jobs and distribution of various types of fees, the incentive for the local community and the Federation.
