Bosnia: Prolonged pre-qualification public call for the construction of TPP “Banovici” by 24th April

Brown Coal Mine “Banovici” has extended a pre-qualification public call for selection of strategic partners for the financing and construction of the thermal power station “Banovici” of 300 MW.

Due to the requests of many companies, the deadline for bids submission, which should expire on the 10^th April, has been extended to 24^th April of 2014^th by12 o’ clock. According to the call, the partner should provide the financing and construction of the building of Thermal powerplant, and RMU “Banovici” will return a loan on terms that will be defined in agreement with a partner.

Partner also should be bound to incorporate the latest technology in accordance with the applicable regulations, which will meet all the standards on the basis of environmental protection.

Choosing partners based on international public tender will be conducted in four phases.

RMU “Banovici” will sign a contract with selected partner which will define the newly-built building of TPP “Banovici”, that unit of 1300 MW be 100 percent owned by RiTE “Banovici” , while natural just resources required for the operation of thermal power plants remain in the property of the Federation.

FBiH Government will consider possibility of providing guarantees to finance the project.
