When Oil Company Shell showed some interest in oil research on BiH area in following few years, some problems occurred. The Law for Oil Exploration has never been adopted and it hasn’t been adopted so far.
-Shell didn’t start oil exploration in BiH and it cannot begin until it gets permission from the Research Center and it has no right on it considering that the law is not adopted yet.
Only when Law for Research and Exploration is adopted, the opportunities to apply for research i.e. terrain work will occur. This has been only analysis of all documentation we had on their expense so far- Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Erdak Trhulj stated when he was asked if this company will launch oil exploration in FBiH.
Total potential of the oil site is estimated from 300 to 500 million dollars worth oil barrels and if the research was done and observed drilling showed that there is enough oil for exploitation, BiH would be able to achieve annual income of billion dollars.
