RS Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining Petar Djokic said that the construction of TPP Stanari is of great importance for the Republic of Srpska. He has met with the representatives of the companies EFT Group and Dongfang Electric Corporation in Banja Luka to regarding the thermal power plant Stanari project.
RS Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining Petar Djokic said that the construction of TPP Stanari is of great importance for the Republic of Srpska. He added that the Government has given support in order to realize the project as soon as possible, and also recalled that the Government and Chinese company Dongfang Electric Coroporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the TPP Gacko 2 project. President of Dongfang Electric Corporation confirmed the interest of the company in TPP Gacko 2 project and added that there is also a possibility of cooperation in the renewable energy sector.
EFT Group Board Chairman Vuk Hamovic reminded that the handover of TPP Stanari should be completed by the end of June 2016, after which the power plant will be connected to the grid at full capacity.
TPP Stanari will have power output of 300 MW and it will produce 2 TWh of electricity per year by consuming some 2.3 million tons of coal per year. The worth of the project is estimated at 400 million euros and the most of the funds for the project (350 million euros) are provided by China Development Bank, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
