Bosnia:Natural gas prices decrease for wholesale

The Supervisory Board of BH-Gas doo Sarajevo was granted approval of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Decision on the new price of natural gas. Starting in September, the wholesale price of natural gas distribution business companies in FBiH will amount 0,754 KM per standard cubic meter (excluding VAT).

That is, compared to the current price of 0.82 KM/Sm3, cheaper by 8.04 per cent.

Very significant impact on the price has a monthly structure and dynamics of natural gas. Although 2012 is characterized by stagnation or a slight decrease in the purchase of gas prices, it did not affect the positive financial performance, but decreased the amount of reported loss in business.

The purchase price of gas is formed for each quarter of the year, based on the previous nine-month moving average of world prices of crude oil and diesel fuel. Therefore, only in the third quarter of this year, the conditions for reduction of the sales price have been met. It should be expected that the price of natural gas will remain the same in the next quarter, said the Federal Government.
