Government of the Republic of Srpska has adopted the re-balance of this year’s electric power balance of Srpska, the electric power balance for the next year, as well as the electric power balance of Srpska for the period from 2015 to 2017.
According to the rebalance of the electric power balance of Srpska for 2014, the planned electricity generation amounts to 5.669 gigawatt-hours, which is at the level of the generation planned by the balance.
From the Public Relations Bureau of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, it has been announced that the adoption of the rebalance of the electric power balance is necessary because of the higher inflows into the reservoirs, owing to which, during 2014, the electricity generation at the hydro power plants has been increased by 7.43% with respect to this year’s electric power balance.
The electricity generation at the thermal power plants has decreased by 4.63% with respect to the balance for 2014. The reason for this is that the overhaul of the Thermal Power Plant “Ugljevik” was extended by 31 days unexpectedly, because, during the regular overhaul, defects had been found on the generator, as it has been said in the announcement.
