Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska,Petar Djokic meet in Banja Luka with representatives of Chinese company TEPCC / Tianjin Electric Power Construction Company / on the possibility of cooperation in the energy sector in Srpska.
“This Chinese owned company is already successfully performing the project of Thermal power plant Stanari, as one of the partners of EFT Group, and is ready to continue cooperation with Republika Srpska by carrying out new projects with a total value of around one billion KM”, announced the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining.
Djokic thanked the representatives of TEPCC for their demonstrated interest and willingness to invest significant resources, aswas addedin the statement.
“We especially appreciate your competence and efficiency when it comes to the realization of demanding projects such as those in the field of electrical power industry,” said Djokic.
He recalled that Republika Srpska has significant unutilized energy potential and that the Ministry will support projects which the Government of Republika Srpska and Chinese companies conform as those of common interest.
“Offered models of cooperation, BOT model or a `turn-key` model, as wasthe case in TPP Stanari, require special attention and analysis, and in the following period,we will presentto the Chinese company specific projects with available technical information, so that TEPCC could make adequate investment decisions, “said Djokic.
