Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed a higher wholesale natural gas price for March 2026. The suggested price is around 32.85 euros/MWh, marking a 1.7% increase compared to the price approved for February, which was 32.3 euros/MWh — itself a 3.7% rise from January.
A review of historical price levels shows that the proposed March 2026 price is 36.35% lower than the price approved for March 2025, which stood at 44.79 euros/MWh.
The final natural gas price for March will be approved by the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) on the first day of the month. This will follow an update of the Bulgargaz proposal in line with the current market situation and after a public discussion scheduled for the end of February.
