Bulgaria: April electricity trade on IBEX, SEE Energy News
During April 2021, a total of 2,086,596 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX), which is 9.4 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in April amounted to 69,553.2 MWh. Traded volume in April 2021 was 119.2 % higher compared to the same month last year. The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in April amounted to 61.69 euros/MWh, which is 18.5 % higher compared to March (52.06 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 61.77 euros/MWh (+ 12.8 %). There were a total of 83 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, one more compared to the previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 103,897.5 MWh (+ 3.1 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 63.67 euros/MWh (+ 13 %).
