Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed a higher wholesale natural gas price for May 2026. The suggested price is around 35.98 euros/MWh, which represents an increase of 4.99% compared to the April approved price of approximately 34.27 euros/MWh, which itself marked a 5.1% rise compared to March.
The final price for April will be confirmed by the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) on the first day of the month. The decision will follow an updated proposal from Bulgargaz, adjusted in line with current market conditions, as well as a public discussion held at the end of March.
