For the construction and reconstruction of transmission lines, Electricity distributor CEZ Distribution Bulgaria, a subsidiary of Czech energy company CEZ, has signed 27 contracts worth some 9 million euros with several local companies, the company said.
The statement from the company said that the two largest contracts, worth some 750,000 euros each, were awarded to two consortia, comprising of local companies Elmax and Koniarski, and Ivt Development and El Smart, respectively. These two contracts envisage works on medium- and low-voltage power lines as well as on transformer substations located in Sofia.
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria recorded non-consolidated net profit in the amount of 15.1 million euros in the first half of 2020, compared to 1.9 million euros recorded in the same period last year. The company’s operating revenues rose to 97.6 million euros in H1 2020 from 91.4 million euros in 2019. Operating expenditures dropped to 80.8 million euros from last year’s 88.9 million euros.
