Electricity production in Bulgaria grew by an annual 1.8% in May to 2,563 GWh, but was 19.8% lower than in April, according to the data published by the statistical office NSI.
Production of solid fuels marked the steepest yearly fall of 58.5% to 434,000 metric tons. It also posted the largest monthly drop, at 36.3%.
In the same period, total output of oil products jumped by 20.9%, reaching 647,000 metric tons, which was 2.4% lower than a month earlier.
The highest annual rise was posted in the production of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG), at 83.3% to 11,000 tones, the same amount as in April.
