For the delivery day of 24 November, the total traded volume of electricity was 60,460.8 MWh, with an average hourly load of 2,519.2 МW which was a new record daily traded volume achieved on the day-ahead market, the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) announced.
The new record is set only a day after the previous record was broken. For the delivery day of 23 November, the total traded volume of electricity was 58,430.7 MWh, with an average hourly load of 2,434.61 МW. This is the fifth time in November that the daily traded volume record on the day-ahead market was broken. IBEX has started electricity trading on 19 January 2016. It was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), later on acquired by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, and was developed in partnership with Nord Pool Spot. Intraday trading segment started on 11 April 2018.
