According to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute, the production of electricity in October 2016 increased by 3.2 % compared to September, to 3,648 GWh, while deliveries of electricity also increased by 13.6 % on monthly basis and amounted to 2,750 GWh. Production of natural gas in October 2016 was at the same level as in the previous month and amounted to 8 million cubic meters, while its deliveries increased by 37.9 % and amounted to 273 million cubic meters.
Compared to October 2015, the production of electricity has increased by 1.7 %, while its deliveries rose by 1.6 %. The production of natural gas increased by 60 %, while its deliveries rose by 16.2 % compared to October 2015.
In comparison to September last year, the production of unleaded petrol in October 2016 increased by 1.9 % to 165,000 tons, while its deliveries dropped by 10 % and amounted to 45,000 tons. The production of diesel increased in October by 10.6 % to 271,000 tons, while its deliveries rose by 17 % to 179,000 tons in the same period.
In comparison to the previous month, the production of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) increased by 12.5 % to 9,000 tons, while its deliveries dropped by 4.5 % to 42,000 tons. At the same period, the production of solid fuels increased by 37.6 % to 3,528 thousand tons, while the deliveries of this energy resource also rose by 37.4 % to 3,620 thousand tons.
