In July 2020, production of electricity increased by 6.3 % compared to June, to 3,348 GWh, while consumption of electricity rose by 10.6 % on monthly basis and amounted to 2,585 GWh, according to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute.
Consumption of natural gas in July 2020 decreased by 2.3 % and amounted to 171 million cubic meters, while its production remained the same and amounted to 4 million cubic meters. Compared to July 2019, production of electricity decreased by 6 %, while its consumption fell by 3.4 %. Consumption of natural gas decreased by 6.6 % compared to July 2019. In July, production of unleaded petrol increased by 42.7 % and amounted to 107,000 tons, while its consumption decreased by 4.9 % and amounted to 39,000 tons. Production of diesel in July increased by 31.2 % compared to the previous month and amounted to 227,000 tons, while its consumption rose by 6.2 % and amounted to 206,000 tons. Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) decreased by 9.5 % and amounted to 38,000 tons, while its production rose by 20 % and amounted to 6,000 tons. At the same period, production of solid fuels increased by 13.7 % to 1,488 thousand tons, while consumption of this energy resource also rose by 12.6 % to 1,557 thousand tons.
