Bulgaria: TPP Maritsa 3 recorded 2.1 million euros losses in Q1
, SEE Energy NewsBulgarian thermal power plant Maritsa 3 reported a net loss of 2.1 million euros in the first three months of 2023, compared to 34 million euros recorded in the same period last year.
Total revenues dropped to 4.6 million euros in the first three months of 2023, compared to 17 million euros in the same period in 2022. Total expenditures decreased, reaching 6.7 million euros, compared to last year’s 54.8 million euros.
Last year, TPP Maritsa 3 was temporarily shut down due to violations of environmental legislation and non-compliance with air quality standards relating to sulfur dioxide and coal dust emissions.
