Bulgarian thermal power plant Maritsa 3 posted a net loss of 15.6 million euros in 2024, a significant increase from the 4.4 million euros loss reported in the previous year. The plant’s total revenues dropped sharply to 5.2 million euros in 2024, compared to 16.2 million euros in 2023. Meanwhile, total expenditures saw a slight increase, reaching 20.8 million euros, up from 20.5 million euros in 2023.
Located in Dimitrovgrad, southern Bulgaria, TPP Maritsa 3 has a 120 MW output. The plant’s largest shareholder is UK-based Topgroup, which holds a 49% stake.
