In July 2020 on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) a total of 1,504,554 MWh of electricity was traded, which is 42.4 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in July amounted to 48,534 MWh. Traded volume in July 2020 was 114.1 % higher compared to the same month last year. The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in July amounted to 36.75 euros/MWh, which is 20.6 % higher compared to June (30.46 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 38.6 euros/MWh (+ 21.9 %). There were a total of 81 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, one more compared to the previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 49,701 MWh (- 31.6 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 41.2 euros/MWh (+ 18.4 %).
