Canadian investors are interested in exploration of Montenegro hydro energy potentials, and the PPP project proposal offer is already submitted to Montenegro government, stated Canadian ambassador Roman Vascuk to Montenegro TV.
According to the ambassador statement Canadian company REV and another foreing partner are considering the construction of second unit at thermal power plant Pljevlja, and according to the local medias this project might be supported by Chinese investors.
REV is planning to start the construction of hydro power plants in Serbia, on Lim river in city of Brodarevo which is just next to the Montenegro-Serbian border. Similar project from REV is presented already to Montenegro government, a project if approved by Montenegro ministry of energy will be supported by Canadian government.
According to ambassador Vascuk, REV is one of the strongest Canadian engineering company present in the region and will be supported by Canadian government in its expansion plans in the region, with state guaranties.
Representatives of Montenegro government are evaluating the proposal from REV corporation and answer on PPP proposal is expected soon.
