Nis Mayor Milos Simonovic said Wednesday that a large Chinese company was interested in investing in the Nis region in 2012, adding that new investments were also being negotiated with a Belgian company and a company from Germany.
Simonovic did not reveal the name of the Chinese company, but he stressed it was active in the field of sustainable sources of energy.
– We are talking with representatives of a Belgium and a German company, which are potential investors in Nis, and I expect these talks to result in the signing of a protocol of cooperation – he announced.
– The Belgian company is engaged in environment protection, whereas the German company operates in the automotive industry – the mayor said to the press, adding that he could not reveal their names until the negotiations were over.
