Coal encourages investment

Coal deposits in Serbia of 20 billion tons will be sufficient to end life, as a condition for building new power plants. However, the EPS remind us that new generating facilities must follow the expansion of existing and new mines.

Security of the Serbian energy system is based on coal, because 70 percent of current country receives its combustion.

The construction of power plants includes the opening of a new coal mine. “We are already preparing Radljevo mine that will follow the new units in Obrenovac and Kolubara. EPS calculated that after three years of delays tenders finally get a strategic partner for the job.
