The project involves the construction of a new 450 MWe/300MWth natural gas fired combined cycle heat and power generation plant. The exact specifications of the boiler will be determined in cooperation with a strategic partner that was selected in the first half of the year 2012.
The plant is expected to become the first combined cycle power plant in Serbia. The plant will have power generation efficiency of approximately 57% and will be one of the most efficient plants in Serbia. It is estimated that the project will lead to emission reductions of approximately 1,000,000 tCO2e/yr or 10,000,000 tCO2e for a period of ten years through the more efficient generation of electricity for approximately 6,000 h/yr.
The project will contribute significantly to the sustainable development of Serbia.
– The project will result into technology transfer, inflow of foreign investments and will allow at the same the active participation of EPS as a local partner;
– The project will result in the transfer of knowledge an
