, SEE Energy News

In the Republic of Croatia on the day 31.10.2013, in the incentive system, 526 power plants on renewable energy sources (RES) are in operation, and in the power network of Croatian Electric Power Industry, 297.071 MW of power is from these sources. On the financial side, in the renewable energy sector in Croatia it was so far invested more than half a billion euros.

By installed capacity, the first place have wind farms with a total of 254.25 MW (14 projects by TS from 2007), the second place have cogeneration plants with a total of 11,493 MW (4 projects by TS from 2007) and the third place have, interesting, biogas power plants with a total of 8,135 MW (8 projects by TS from 2007 and 1 project by TS from 2012).

Table 1: Eligible producers with whom HROTE entered into a contract to purchase electricity from 2007 to 2012, but whose plants in the system of stimulation (Revised balance as at 31.10.2013.)

In the next year (until 2014) the realization of 684 projects with a total force 248.328 MW is expected. Specifically, analyzing contracts for the purchase of electricity from renewable energy sources, based on the available data from HROTE, in Croatia there are 684 projects – plants that are not yet connected to the electricity grid.

According to the planned power, in the first place are wind farms with a total of 150.00 MW (one project by TS from 2007 and 3 projects by TS from 2012), the second place are biomass power plants with a total of 51.659 MW (4 projects by TS from 2007 and 5 projects by TS from 2012) and in third place are solar power plants with 34.529 MW (10 projects by TS from 2007 and 651 projects by TS from 2012).
