Croatia: Agrokor builds three biogas plants this year

Among the company founders ANP Energy, formerly the exclusive property of Agrokor, also businesses Nexus Private Equity Partners and Prosperus Invest are registered, which manage funds for Economic Co-operation (FGS).

With that formally began participation of FGS, and through them and the state, a total of 315 million kunas worth project for five biogas plants operated by the Group of Ivica Todoric. In mid-December last year, among the company founders ANP Energy, formerly the exclusive property of Agrokor, also businesses Nexus Private Equity Partners and Prosperus Invest are registered, which manage funds for Economic Co-operation (FGS).

Nexus invests 45.6 million kunas and Prosperus invest 30.4 million kunas in Agrokor biogas plants. Half of the 76 million kunas two funds will be financed by the state through HBOR, according to the model of functioning of FGS: The state invests in the same ratio as well as private investors. Two FGS have been now the majority owners of ANP Energy (66.5 percent), and the project will remain until they return invested.

– FGS are interested in investing in projects that have a vision, and quality management requirements for long-term sustainable development and where they see the possibility of achieving the goals for their investors – explains Herman Seidl, director of Agrokor energy roofing company that connects all the other companies within the Group which are dealing with renewable energy sources (ANP energy, Gradec, etc..).
