Croatian electricity exchange CROPEX said in the statement published on its website that the Croatian day-ahead auction for 23 January was cancelled as the price calculation could not be completed within normal deadline. The cancellation was according to agreed routines.
The cause of the issue has been identified, and the day-ahead calculation as of 23 January will run as normal. The issue was caused by a system parameter not correctly configured in the Nord Pool system. CROPEX and Nord Pool have already implemented additional routines in order to prevent similar incidents in the future.
CROPEX was launched on 11 February 2016 in cooperation with Nord Pool, Europe’s leading electricity exchange, and is co-owned by the Croatian electricity transmission system operator (HOPS) and the Croatian electricity market operator (HROTE).
