Croatia: First RES auction under the new premium model related to PP with lower capacity
, SEE Energy NewsMinister Coric explained that by the end of April, the first auction under the new premium model will be organized and it will be related to power plants with lower installed capacity. After that and after the completion of the procedures before the European Commission, one larger auction will be held. Croatian Minister of Energy and Environment Tomislav Coric said that the first RES auction in Croatia this April will mark the implementation of a new premium model for incentivizing investments in renewable energy sources.
According to him, Croatia, in all its strategic documents, follows the goals of sustainable development and the European Green Deal, which means that the private and other sectors of society should function with the highest environmental standards. Through its Energy Development Strategy until 2030, Croatia is fully focused on this direction, primarily through the promotion of renewable energy sources, but it is also ready to participate in the ambitious goal of energy neutrality by 2050, because this is the direction the world is heading in the direction should go, Minister Coric noted.
