, SEE Energy NewsThe Croatian Government said that it has extended the retail fuel price caps for another two weeks.
The statement from the Government said that it has approved regulation. under which the highest retail price of petroleum products will remain the same as in the last two weeks. In this context, the existing cut of excise duties on oil derivatives will be expanded by 14 days.
On June 20, the Croatian government decided to cap for two weeks motor fuel prices at all filling stations that are not located along the country’s motorways. The cap does not apply to premium fuels.
This measure concerns 94 % of all 961 petrol stations in the country. Its introduction has capped the price of Eurosuper 95 and Eurodiesel at 1.79 euros/liter and 1.74 euros/liter respectively.
Earlier in June, the government cut further the excise duty and sales margins on motor fuels in a bid to alleviate the impact of the rise in global oil prices on its citizens.
