Croatian state-owned energy services company HEP ESCO has launched a €5.3 million tender for the installation of 90 rooftop solar power plants at HEP facilities across Croatia. Interested companies can submit bids until 3 November.
The procurement is divided into five regional groups. The first, covering Zagreb and surrounding areas, has an estimated value of €1.2 million. The second group is the smallest at €770,000 but includes technically demanding locations, such as the Zavrlje, Orlovac, Peruca and Zakucac hydropower plants in Dalmatia, as well as distribution facilities between Split, Nin and Preko.
The third and largest group, valued at €1.21 million, covers Slavonia and includes solar installations at 20 HEP electricity-distribution and HEP Plin facilities in cities including Virovitica, Pozega, Vinkovci and Vukovar.
The fourth group is estimated at €1.11 million and covers 15 locations in Medjimurje, Zagorje and the Sisak-Moslavina region, including the Ozalj hydropower plant. The fifth group, worth €1.035 million, comprises 23 sites across Istria, the coastal Primorje region and Gorski Kotar, including hydropower facilities in Fuzine, Rijeka and Vinodol and distribution centers in Pula, Rovinj and Opatija.
Contractors will be responsible for delivering turnkey solar systems, covering both design and construction and handing over fully operational installations. Bidders may apply for individual groups or submit offers for all five regions.
Contracts are expected to be signed within 90 days of the selection of contractors, while all installations must be completed within 18 months of contract signing.
