Operations are underway at the JANAF terminal in Omišalj, where a new cargo of crude oil is currently being unloaded for companies within the MOL Group.
According to company information, an additional seven tankers carrying crude for the same client are scheduled to dock by early April. All incoming cargoes consist exclusively of non-Russian oil, reflecting efforts to diversify supply sources in the region.
JANAF highlighted its role as a key energy transit route for Central Europe, describing its infrastructure as a critical corridor for refineries in Slovakia and Hungary. The operator emphasized that it has the capacity to meet the full annual crude requirements of these markets.
The company also underscored ongoing investments in pipelines, storage facilities, and related infrastructure, aimed at maintaining high service standards and operational reliability. As one of the European Union’s strategic energy hubs, JANAF positions the Omišalj terminal as a central link in ensuring stable crude deliveries across the region.
