Croatian engineering company Končar – Elektroindustrija has reached an agreement with two key national network operators to construct a new high-voltage substation near Šibenik. The project involves the development of the 110 kV Razine transformer station and carries a total value of 13.7 million euros. The contract was signed jointly with HEP-ODS and the Croatian transmission system operator (HOPS). Under the terms of the agreement, Končar will deliver the entire project as a turnkey solution, taking responsibility for design, construction, and commissioning.
The planned infrastructure will include the installation of the new transformer facility together with the associated 110 kV transmission lines required to connect it to the existing electricity network. In addition to the electrical infrastructure, the project also covers the construction of access roads needed for operational and maintenance purposes.
Once completed, the new substation is expected to strengthen the reliability of the regional electricity network and support the continued development of the surrounding energy infrastructure.
